That's a wrap on our 2021-2022 capstones, ending with our fun new tradition of the A&A Capstone Film Fest and our technical presentations. We present these awards for both.

Capstone Film Fest

We are pleased to announce the results of our  2022 Capstone Film Fest. We want to thank our amazing emcee, PhD student John Berg, who guided us through each video. Thanks also to our A&A Board Member Nujoud Merancy who offered a great perspective to our graduating students as they start their careers, citing her 2001 capstone project on CubeSats that was a stepping stone into the Artemis CubeSat launching soon in the orbit that will be used to bring crewed flights to the Moon.

We have three awards to announce this year. The People’s Choice is decided by an open vote of Film Fest viewers. A special panel of invited alumni chose the Best in Show and Honorable Mention. We are also thrilled to announce the Technical Excellence Awards, which recognize the continuation of our A&A tradition of outstanding undergrad design work. A panel of volunteer jurors including A&A faculty, industry experts, and graduate students reviewed the team presentations and reports.
