Eric Schultz passes away

September 13, 2017

We were saddened to learn that alumnus Eric Schultz (MS 97) passed away. Schultz was a Lieutenant Colonel and pilot in the US Air Force and was flying a training mission when his plane crashed at the Nevada Test and Training Range, near Nellis Air Force Base. Professor and former chair Adam Bruckner, who was Eric's thesis advisor, says, "He was a great student with great plans for his future. He certainly accomplished a lot in the past 20 years. How tragic that his life was cut short in his prime." Our thoughts are with Eric's family at this sorrowful time.
