A&A Assistant professor Marco Salviato has just been named the recipient of the American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME) Haythornthwaite Young Investigator Award. The prestigious award, based on selection by the ASME Applied Mechanics Division, recognizes excellence in theoretical and applied mechanics research for early career faculty and provides a grant to support the acquisition of key research equipment. The award will support Prof Salviato’s research on the development of bio-inspired materials and graphene nanocomposites.
Professor Salviato will be honored at a recognition luncheon at the November 2017 ASME International Mechanical Engineering Congress & Exposition in Tampa Bay, FL.
