We were saddened to learn that alumnus Eric Schultz (MS 97) passed away. Schultz was a Lieutenant Colonel and pilot in the US Air Force and was flying a training mission when his plane crashed at the Nevada Test and Training Range, near Nellis Air Force Base.

Dillon, who was on the Dean’s List for 7 semesters, was also inducted into Sigma Pi Sigma, the Physics Honors Society, and received the College of Arts and Sciences Student Research of the Year Award.

Aeronautics & Astronautics alumna Ansley Barnard, BS ’12, is one of six volunteers living in an isolated dome on the slopes of Mauna Loa on Hawaii’s Big Island, where the geology mimics that of Mars. She’s participating in a NASA-funded Mars simulation mission, known as the Hawaii Space Exploration Analog and Simulation project (HI-SEAS).
